Voter Info on the ‘Winnipeg-Wide-Web’

This fall’s civic election has spawned some great resources on the internet for voter information.

The City of Winnipeg’s Election 2010 website has the official information on the election as well as directions on where to vote, a downloadable list of the candidates, campaign signage rules and other voter information. The city services 311 line can direct you if you need further information.

WinnipegElection.ca is a citizen driven website created to provide Winnipeg voters with unbiased information about their mayoral, city council and school trustee candidates. The site features interactive ward maps, ward statistics, historical information about past elections, and a calendar of election related events. 

Candidates are listed along with links to their web pages, email addresses, Facebook fan pages and Twitter feeds. News articles that mention candidates are also linked providing up to date information from a variety of media sources. click here

Much of the local media have gone to great lengths to provide easy access to an ample choice of their written, audio and video stories on the election. As well many include in-depth ward information, an interactive city ward/Google-map and links to live debate coverage.
